2002 iMac opening instructions

I still have the iMac also! Such a fantastic piece of design. Crazy to me they stopped making it. Thought surely because it was too costly to make. The monitor hinge alone is an engineering masterpiece that must have been expensive to make properly.
Anyway, it was actually my brothers that he gave to me mid 2000s and I saved this piece from the box it came in. I’ve always loved simple line drawings, especially with that think-line detail.
I liked also this care of detail, common in Apple packaging, where this much consideration goes in even to opening the box and removing styrofoam. I’ve always wondered how that packaging team feels to give that much care and attention to the bit that’s instantly thrown away.
A crucial part of the onboarding experience, but the first tell tell sign that consumerism like this is all untimely about producing more waste.
Not this bit though. Saved and valued my me at least.
