Faulkners fish and chips bag

Related to the Arthur's bag in a way, this was another lunch time destination in my past. Not a handsome bag, but if felt very much of its period for this type of classic British fish and chip shop. Again, a bag featuring the animal that the shop kills and sells. Such an odd thing that people seem fine with.
Legend had it that this was 'the' chip shop / restaurant that black cabbies would take any tourists that asked for authentic and good fish and chips. I heard from someone else that this was more because the cabbies could eat for free if they brought a big group, but who knows. The fish and chips were good, so it could be true.
Sadly, the ownership changed hands over the years after his era of bag and the quality got worse in my opinion. Not tried if for at least 8 years now so could have gotten better again. Wonder what sort of takeaway bag they have now.
