Another little camera pamphlet/manual that came with one of my old cameras. I remember being quite excited when getting one of these smaller and more friendly guides with products. Before the 'death to innovation' as Russell Davies put it, with mostly unhelpful think multilingual tomes that lead you on searches for anything useful.
The conventions in these little documents were so established. A photo of somewhere sunny (usually somewhere with green fields or trees as well), someone holding the camera and looking totally cool for that period in time, the illustrated aid to explain what all the buttons and knobs would do.
I wonder where the convention of the icons used on the cameras came from. If an official organisation of some sort established them and made them licence free, or if everyone just copied.
